Cosmoplast, CO-OP UAE [a copy of the complaint regarding a COSMOPLAST product sent to ADCO-OP, ]
Hello,
I'm writing this feedback only because I believe that you'll respond to this complaint seriously! I expect a sure action to this.
Well, though this feedback comes to you a bit late, I write to you with a deep pain.
Matter: I am a sort of, as you could call a brand maniac/quality maniac (I think this could have been an influence from my father!). I am that kind of a person who wouldn't just buy a certain product (of low cost/unbranded/of poor quality) even if I'm in a desperate need for it or even if I'm financially tight! I always buy a certain product only which performs what it promises and only that brand of product that cares for each single penny the customer spends for its purchase! That was the impression I had towards CO-OP until two months back!! But now that has shattered!
Reason: With great confidence in CO-OP (in its assurance of quality) I purchased a 3-tier (rectangular shaped) vegetable storage rack (brand: Cosmoplast- a brand which I believed performs what it promises among the plastic storage products) for 17Dhs (from: CO-OP Hypermarket, Abu Dhabi Mall). I came home- removed the cover, washed all the pieces in dish wash liquid, and left it to dry. The next day, I picked up all the pieces to assemble them and to my amazement I was fooled! I lost all my expectations. The rack couldn't be assembled properly as the connection tubes (provided to connect between the 3 tiers) were more in number! Well, we all know that every vegetable needs a certain amount of air circulation. But as per the connection tubes provided there were extra 4 connection tubes (never mind, might be additional pieces) but no basement tubes! This means, the rack has no basement and that the third tier should be placed touching the floor (with no air circulation from the bottom of the rack)!
Well, what else could I do? In no way, could I return the product as I had already thrown away the rack's packing and in addition to worsen the situation I had already washed it in dish wash liquid! I knew that no product could be replaced with all these many alterations made to it! So, I made up my mind to use it and assembled it in my way- I connected the top two tiers with the connection tubes provided and placed the second tier inside the third tier (allowing the third tier to act as a basement and providing the vegetables air circulation from the bottom- as now there was space between the second and third tiers when placed one upon and inside the other without connection tubes)!
To understand the situation even further please go thorough this link which provides the image of the product (the second rack in the image) that I explained- URL: http://www.cosmoplast.com/Products.htm As I browsed through this link I was amazed to see that the rack sold at CO-OP in Cosmoplast's brand name is not what the company produces! The image shown in this link is really how the product should be like (as there is a basement tube with castors and in addition the product in the image is a 4-tier rack!). But this is not what is sold at CO-OP?!!
Well, you might be wondering why in the world I gave such a detailed feedback just for spending 17 bucks! But the fact is that, it is not all about 17 bucks. It is about the expectation and faith I had in the products sold at CO-OP. In brief, I would rather say- I believed in CO-OP! But that's no more. And you might be also thinking that why to respond to a single customer's complaint and that too for such a silly matter. Well, to be frank there might have been many other customers who were fooled like me (but those who couldn't respond to this situation due to a busy scheduled life). Hence, this feedback represents the complaints of that category too. In addition, who knows- to whom all I (and the category I represent) might have shared this bad experience to! Hence, there might be a crowd that has lost their faith in CO-OP! So I request you to seriously respond to this situation. Either, please do not sell products like this (atleast in a hypermarket!) or please honestly provide the image of the pieces inside the pack and how it will look like when assembled- on the cover of the product's packing!
