Vintage Keeper Interkool Wine Cellar

Wine room cooling unit Vintage Keeper / Kool Space US www.koolspace.ca After 3 years the company does not back up the unit. They do store parts and offer no solution. Other than hanging up the phone on you. Service and support is key a company success and they are lacking. The did not even try to sell me a new one! Go figure, mine is not working and they did not offer to sell me one. I would avoid the company, unless you like rude, condescending people who have no technical expertise guarding your wine From: Message Author (click here to email author) (no email address available)Date: Friday, 07-Sep-07 16:04:36 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This Comment On ThisIt's clear that you had an experience with them that you did not like at all. It's good that you shared it so that everyone can get a balanced view. Who knows? Perhaps you're among a very small percentage that happen to get bad service from an otherwise decent company - or perhaps I'm among a very small percentage that happen to get good service from an otherwise crummy company. When I consider the "bang for the buck" that I got with this manufacturer, compared with the name brands, and the overall very good experience I've had with, as I said, TWO of their larger units, it's hard for me not to recommend them in general. In fact, the new unit I got had some really great improvements in the quietness and the performance of the compressor. I think the savings outweighs what, in my experience, is a relatively low degree of risk. I've found that risk-taking makes life a lot more interesting. You win some, you lose some; you pays your money, you takes your chances... Keep your eye on the bottle - it's about the wine, not about the cellar ;^) From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Friday, 05-Dec-08 17:20:09 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This Comment On ThisI don't know whether I am among the minority or the majority, but I have two Vintage Keeper units, a 220-bottle model that I've had for at least five years, and a 500-bottle model that I've had for about two years. Except for the 220 bottle model being pretty noisy - though that problem was greatly reduced with the newer generation compressor shipped with the 500 bottle model - I've had no significant problems with either unit. I had a small problem a few years ago with the 220, I don't recall what it was, but though it was not effortless, the company resolved it with relatively little hassle.
