UPS Shipping Insured
|
UPS Shipping Insured I sold and shipped an antique victorla in excellent condition. Because I = was concerned about damage, I had the UPS Store package it for me, = paying them $240 for this service and shipping cost. I insured it for = $500, far less than what it was worth, but to cover most of what the = customer paid for it. Unfortunately, it arrived destroyed. I filed a = claim (which took FORever) and they refunded me $420.20. When I asked = why not the total it was insured for, I was told that is what they = deemed it to be 'worth'. I said, well how do they determine that since I = just saw an identical one in an antique shop for $800?? They said I = would have to prove it, and since I didn't sell it for that much, they = would not refund the total. Wouldn't it be nice to know this BEFORE you = purchase insurance?? Why don't they tell you in advance how much they = want you to insure it for? I'm through using UPS and will post this on = every auction I have.
