DO NOT RENT AT HUDSON RIDGE APARTMENTS

I AM A TENANT AT HUDSON RIDGE APARTMENTS I HAVE BEEN LIVING HERE FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS. IN THE PAST HUDSON RIDGE WAS A PLEASANT PLACE TO LIVE BUT RECENTLY IT IS HORRIBLE. IT IS NOT WORTH WHAT PEOPLE PAY TO LIVE HERE. HOPEFULLY I CAN HELP ANYONE WHO IS THINKING ABOUT MOVING IN HERE.

THE APARTMENTS ARE NOT IN GOOD STANDARDS, THEY RENOVATE THEM QUICKLY BEFORE RENTING THEM BUT RENOVATING MEANS CHANGING RUGS AND PAINTING. THEY NEVER GO TO THE PROBLEMS THAT ARE UNDERNEATH, SO DON'T GET FOOLED BY APPEARANCES!!!!

THERE ARE ROACHES, AND MICE EVERYWHERE ALL OVER THE HALLWAYS AND IN THE LAUNDRY ROOMS. NOT TO MENTION THE MISSION IT WILL BE FOR YOU TO JUST GET INSIDE THE BUILDING WITH ALL THE SKUNKS ALL OVER! IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT RENTING HERE SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE AND DO NOT DO IT! IT IS A HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE AND WHEN YOU NEED SOMETHING FIXED IN YOUR APARTMENT THE MESS THEY LEAVE IS WORSE THAN THE PROBLEM YOU NEEDED FIXED.

I do not live at Hudson Ridge dut do visit often and I have never seen any roaches or mice. The apartments are nice,cozy and clean. Management is very helpful and friendly; and the location is ideal. People looking for an apartment should stop in and see for themselves that this is a very nice place to live and more.

The problem with Hudson Ridge is that the management will not fix any problems you may have. If there is nothing wrong, then you will be fine. However, I have lived here a couple of years, and speaking from experience (and from the experience of others), it takes a long time to fix a problem after you report it. It has been two years since I reported a leak (a problem from soon after I moved in), and it has still to be fully fixed.

I have not noticed too many vermin issues, but the maintenance, when required, is extremely poor.

I live in 7112 building and so far haven't had a single problem. I've noticed that the building is vacuumed every day and I haven't seen a single rodent (my aparmtnet is also next to "garbage room"). It is true that outside skunks run around free and management could do more to get rid of them.

I agree that renovating means repainting and new carpeting, but I didn't expect them to put a brand new oven.

Before I moved here I lived in Park Ave Towers on 67th and Park Ave. The super ran his company during the day and in the evening was too tired and lazy to do anything. I guess I'm comparing my experience with HRA to a really horrible one.

Also, I met some poeple that've lived there for many years, which to me means that it is not as horrible.
