Dear Caltrans:

Today, Saturday, September 29, 2007, a City of Redwood City work crew is

tearing up the pavement at the intersection of Holly Street and Airport

Drive in Redwood City (right adjacent to the San Carlos Airport). They

are detouring northbound traffic on Airport Drive to the right (east)

onto Holly Street and not permitting traffic to make a left turn onto

Holly Street and eventual entry onto US 101 north and south. My

complaint is that they are NOT providing detour signs to instruct

drivers on how to get back to Holly Street westbound. They did the same

thing two weeks ago (Saturday, September 15, 2007), and, due to

prohibited U-turns at various intersections, I ended up getting lost in

Redwood Shores!

If they have a detour, aren't they required to provide guidance on a

return route?
