HP PSC 1410V All in One/ Printer, Scanner, Copier

Do not ever try to get support for HP. The scanner portion of my 3 in 1

unit was not communicating so I contacted HP online chat for support. After 5

hours typing with 2 different technical support people, I am no farther along

than I was before. I have asked for managers and actually was refused. I

was able to get this issue escalated, to whom, I have no idea, and if it was

actually really escalated, I have my doubts. The first "tech" had me

uninstalling USB ports, only thing is, the port he had me uninstall happened to be my

mouse and I couldn't get back to the chat until I fixed that and he

guaranteed me the problem would be fixed after I rebooted. I am sure you have guessed

already, it didn't work so I got back to the online help and got another

person who wanted me to do the same thing again, this time uninstalling all my

USB ports, well, that might had made it a bit difficult for me to reboot

without use of the mouse and I explained to him, I had used a different USB port

for the printer and got the same thing happening. I asked for a manager

several times and was refused, after he did agree to escalate the problem, he

refused to give me a case number or escalation number. "Herbert" told me to call

the fee based line and ask for a floor supervisor, after an hour of

retelling and getting transferred all over the place, I spoke to Deepu and wanted him

to let someone in the HP/Compaq organization the incompetence and stupidity

within the online chat help. For about two cents, I would put this piece of

equipment in the drive and drive over it a few time. There is no such thing

as pride in customer service any more and since it is all outsourced to

India, they have no vested interest in what anyone thinks. SHAME ON HP!!
