Double charged for hotel stay by Travelocity and Blue Lagoon Homestead of Miami On 04/27/2007 I made a reservation online with Travelocity for a one night stay ( 04/27/07 to 04/28/07)at Blue Lagoon Homestead Hotel in Miami with my American Express card from Bank of America. The reservation was made under the name of Aida Tavarez. Later, that same day I decided to add another day to my stay at the hotel and made another reservation online with Travelocity using my Mastercard from Orchard Bank. I made the reservation under the name of Jose Ortiz from 04/28/07 to 04/29/07. When I arrived at the hotel that night, I explained to the person in the reception area that I had 2 reservations under 2 different names for 2 different days and that I wanted to stay in the same room both days. I explained that I had used 2 different credit cards under my name. She checked the reservations and I showed her the credit cards I had used to make the reservations with Travelocity. The front desk person recommended I cancelled both reservations and made a single one under my name and she would give me the same room for both nights. I agreed. When I checked out of the hotel on 04/29/07, the hotel charged me $223.72 for the 2 night stay. I paid with my Amex from Bank of America. The problem arose when days later, I checked my credit cards online and the charges for the reservations were still in my credit cards. In my Amex from Bank of America, I had the charges made by the hotel ($223.75) and the charge made by Travelocity for one night stay reservation ($115.60). My MasterCard also had the charges for the one night reservation made under the name of Jose Ortiz. I called the hotel and Travelocity. A week later, the pending charges from my Master Card had been removed. But the charges from my Amex for the one night reservation for $115.60 stayed in the card and have never been removed. I disputed the charges with Bank of America but it didn't progress because I didn't have a cancellation number. I also called the hotel but they said the charges had been made by Travelocity so they couldn't refund me. I called Travelocity several times to no avail. The personnel answering the calls always promised to find a solution but I never ever listened from them again. I feel very disappointed with their service. My name is Aida Tavarez. My email is Email User<mhtml:{94C24361-B801-4084-8E88-A6DCFFEEF499}mid://00000000/!x-usc:mailto:Email User>and my phone number is 321-805-2895. I would like to have this matter settled fairly and to received a refund for the $115.60. I paid for the full 2 day hotel stay. The $115.60 is like paying for an additional date and I just stayed at the hotel 2 days.
