Troy Castillo, Casa Construction

I hired Casa Construction (owned by Troy Castillo) in July 2006 to build a 750 sq ft house for my father. He promised me the job would be completed in three months max. We are now in September 2007 (14 months later) and we still aren't finished. Troy constantly lied about when workers would be on the job site, and it remained empty for the bulk of the job.

When workers were present the work itself was completely unacceptable. His job supervisor had no idea how to read blueprints, and I had to halt work several times before major mistakes were made. They almost laid down the floorplan with the front door on the wrong side of the house.

Troy Castillo stole over $16,000 dollars from me by submitting a draw request to the bank handling the construction loan. This request required my signature, which Troy most definitely did not have. The bank paid Troy (which is another issue) but Troy refused to return the money. After that point in time it was next to impossible to get any further work completed. My father had to pay out of pocket to get the bulk of the work completed. We are of course trying to get reimbursed from Troy, but this seems fairly useless.

Troy c. Castillo owner of casa construction is nothing more than a thief. I hired him to put up a chain link fence for me and he charged me $3200 and asked for $2000 down. I paid him the $2000 and then he did nothing. Never bought any materials or did the work. I since then had to hire someone else. No refund from Mr. Castillo. I'm in the process of filing criminal charges on him. How someone can be such a blantant thief is beyond me and the only place he needs to be is in jail...
