ATA Baggage handlers stealing from customers luggage

ATA Customer/Baggage Service Supervisor Grace Deuter ATA Airlines Inc. 5757 South Cicero Avenue Chicago, IL 60638 US www.ATA.com I Flew from DFW to Chicago Midway a few weeks ago. to my suprise two of my bags arrived in baggage claim assualted & pillaged by the baggage handlers. My toddler's new bag was ripped open and my suit case was open with items hanging out. Someone in baggage went into my suitcase and stole my camcorder along with the cabels/cords. The pathetic part is they open my suitcase eniterly because the cords/cabels where not with the camcorder. The cabel/cords where placed in a interior pocket inside of the suitcase. Baggage claim staff told me that it's ATA's policy to deny all claims. Also that their Customer/Baggae Service Supervisor Grace Deuter will contact me within 24 hours. I filed a claim at the airport, by phone when I arrived at the hotel, and on ATA.com all in the same day. no response in 24 hours. I was in Chicago for five days and I filed a complaints everyday calling Midway, ATA.com, ATA 1-800 number and at DFW no response from the Midway Supervisor. On my day of departure I arrived early at Midway and requested to speak with the Supervisor. The Supervisor was so rude she tried to belittle me in front of her staff. I was so glade my husband and son at the gate. the supervisor asked me if she gave me a $200.00 voucher would I go away I told her NO. I almost missed my departure flight from Chicago, passengers had boarded the plane when I got there. Do they have Security, in baggage are there any cameras down there beside the one that was stolen from me. If staff can remove items from are luggage they can also place items into are luggage. I have to basically strip down, open my purse, turn on my computer, remove my shoes and whatever else they request, to board my flight. Who is watching the airport staff? Are they allowed to go through passengers bags and not bother with closing the bags. Are they having a treasure hunt in baggae? No one questions an employee leaving work with a camcorder, computer, extra clothes, etc.etc. I would appreciate a sincere investigation into my stolen camcorder, cabels/Cords. I have a strange feeling that if they did catch the theif The Baggage supervisor would not report it. Can someone give me some information on how to handle my claim?
