We purchased a Canon XL2 Camcorder from Amazon on May 8, 2007. We were purc=

hased at this time to qualify for the Canon 300 dollar rebate offer availab=

le at that time. Immdiately upon receipt of the camera we applied for the r=

ebate following all the requirements to qualify. We photo copied all the it=

ems sent and mailed them to Canon certified mail that showed Canon had inde=

ed recieved the application and the required documents. After weeks of t=

rying to contact Canon to get an update on the status of the filed rebate w=

e recieved a notice that they had not recieved the upc from the box and tha=

t we must resubmit the claim again. Since we had a copy of the UPC that we =

sent originaly we sent the complete package again, including a copy of the =

UPC, as well as a picute of the box showing where the upc was cut. We sub=

mitted that claim again with certified mail on 6/21/07 and have not recieve=

d the rebate or any correspondence to confirm our submission or the status =

of our claim. My son saved for months to purchase this camera from a compan=

y he fully believed was honest and reliable, we are dissapointed that the c=

ompany does not exhibit these qualities. The company and the product are no=

w mush less attractive to us and we will never again buy a Canon product, =

much less one with a rebate offer.
