American Home Shield (AHS) Warranty Called AHS for an A/C repair. Sent out a local HVAC company. A young kid showed up without a van (his own personal vehicle) and without many tools. Told me "no problem, we will fix this and cover it under warranty". After 1 week, I started calling the HVAC company. No response. After 2 1/2 weeks, got a call from AHS telling me the unit is improperly installed, service denied. The unit had worked for 8 years no problem. This alleged "improper install" had not been a problem before. I paid another company to come out and and they told me it is installed properly, without question. I need a new coil, that's all. AHS won't even entertain the fact that this poor HVAC company misdiagnosed the issue (or they are covering it up). Actually, AHS is the one telling me it is improperly installed, not the HVAC company they sent out. Very poor service. Seems like they are looking for an "out" to get out of paying. I asked how that could be since I had the check clear my bank and have the copy of the check with their stamp on the back. They keep telling me they're "investigating". I'll never use AHS again and will tell everyone I know not to also!
