Burger King

Burger King Hello - I will NEVER eat at another Burger King restaurant again...and I will = tell every single person that I know, meet or can reach about this = incident. On June 28, 2007 I went to the Burger King at 5100 West. Cermak Road, = Cicero, Illinois 60804 to purchase the two Whoppers for $2.50 on my way = home from a meeting. I ordered them with extra onions. Having had a = problem in the past when orders were not filled as requested (i.e., = extra onions, extra mayo, no onions, etc.) I opened them upon receipt = and found that there were only about 3 onion strips on each burger. I = asked the evening manager to have the cook comply with my request for at = least the regular amount of onions. I WANTED the extra onions. She = gave the bag back to the cook and spoke to him in Spanish (as this = restaurant has 90% Spanish workers, since Cicero is about 90% Spanish). = The young person who was cooking did not think that I saw this but I = clearly observed him put on more onions AND THEN SPIT ON THE SANDWICH = BEFORE RE-WRAPPING IT. Since the manager was standing facing me she did = not see this but I immediately brought it to her attention. She looked = at me, stated that she did not see this and asked if I wanted to = purchase two more burgers. I promptly left the restaurant and, after arriving at home, contacted = the police. They were less than polite and stated that I should have = contacted them immediately. I was so flustered and angry at that time = that I did not think to do so. I have never been in a Burger King since and NEVER WILL VISIT ANOTHER = BURGER KING. The employees are rude, the managers do not seem to care = and nothing is done about hiring people who at least do their jobs. So if you want to take a chance with your health, and perhaps eat food = upon which some stupid employee has spit, go to a Burger King. I WILL NOT. I don't know if you'll even read this because it's been so long since you posted, but I can tell you that I would definitely have the authority to fire a crew member on the spot. That manager was probably not trained properly or just didn't care which, though it happens, isn't as common as everyone thinks. Unfortunately, though, it isn't just at Burger King that these things can happen. People are childish at times, and it can happen anywhere. I'm ServeSafe certified, like most managers in restaurants, and I watch what goes on when I go out to a restaurant myself. I am disgusted that the manager at your Burger King did nothing. At the very least she could have given you a refund, because you probably would not want another sandwich. My biggest piece of advice is to continue to enjoy eating out, but order inside so you can see what goes on. Don't give something you like up because one restaurant is poorly managed! By the way, you'll probably never visit my store... I'm several states away, so my motive for saying this is purely out of empathy for you.
