DIsconnect fee charge
|
Satellite tv Direct TV P.O. Box 6550 Greenwood Village, Co 80155 US directv.com I became a Direct TV customer in August of 2006 through my phone service with Verizon. I just moved to WV from SC and Verizon was offering this service in the area I moved to. I was told that we would get local channels, which we have never been able to get with Direct TV. Even after submitting several waivers. Unfortunately in WV it is hard to get local channels in the mountains unless you live in a big city (ours is a population of 7000) or go with Dish Network. So we decided to do just that and switch from Direct to Dish Network on Sept. 1. Direct TV is now trying to charge me an early disconnect fee even though I had them for over a year and never once received or signed any paperwork with Direct TV. This was all done through Verizon. How can they charge for something I never signed or agreed to? Or for that matter was ever informed of from Direct TV or Verizon upon hook-up.
