Automotive Repair Complaint for Lincoln Park Foreign Cars, Lincoln Park, MI

I took the vehicle in to Lincoln Park Foreign Cars 3414 Dix Hwy. Lincoln

Park, MI 48146 (313) 382-3050 because my air conditioning was not blowing out cold

air. I was verbally advised over the phone that the toal cost of my repairs

were $1212.58. When I picked up my vehicle he advised me the air conditioner

was working fine and I handed the manager my credit card. After charging my

credit card he brought me a receipt showing $1512.58. When questioned he stated I

misunderstood. Being 62 years old, I assumed there was nothing I could do and

filed a complaint with my credit card company one week later. He told me what

neded to be repaired, after doing the repairs and charging my credit card

$1512.58 my air conditioner still does not blow out cold air. Therefore, $300 was

fraudulently taken from me. I also have since gotten 2 estimates. I was

advised 1. repairs done should not have been over $1,200 dollars 2. the initial

inspection and repairs done would have detected the so-called blower motor problem

and 3. He could not have checked the air conditioner prior to giving the

vehicle back to me. He then stated I would have to pay him another $500.00 This

is a common repair shop scam.
