I purchased a Transmisson from Courtesy Ford (formerly Rome Ford) in Rome, GA. The transmission came with a 3 year 75,000 mile warranty. A few months after the transmisson was installed it tore up. I took it to Courtesy Ford, They said it had to be replaced. They put in another remanufactered transmisson. A few months later the transmisson tore up again. I took it back to Courtesy Ford. They said they could not honor the warranty due to the truck being altered. The truck does have a lift kit and bigger tires on it. The tires are on factory Wheels. THE TRUCK IS EXCATLY THE SAME WAY IT WAS WHEN THE FIRST AND SECOND TRANSMISSON WAS PUT IN IT!!!

Courtesy Ford did not say anything to me about it voiding the warranty then. They did not say anything about the tire size that was on it either. I checked all of my options before I purchased a transmisson. I could have had my old transmisson rebuilt for $800 to $1000 less. But I chose to spend extra money for the extra warranty. Now I spent that money for NOTHING!

Whats really makes me mad is not that I gave (more like DONATED) Ford $1700.00 for nothing, but the way they have handled this situation. They don't care at all. Now my truck is 10yrs old and they keep telling my truck is out of warranty. I KNOW THAT!! It is my transmission that is under warranty. I don't think they are hearing me. They have never once commented on my transmission warranty. I read another complaint on this website about Ford Customer Service. The Gentleman was in Canada in 2005. He posted a reply that Ford sent him to his complaint. It is almost just like my reply that I recieved from Ford Except the names and date. I don't know why Ford wastes their time or my time. They don't care at all.

Here is my emails sent to and from Ford...

Brief Description Of How You Would Like Ford Motor Company To Assist You: I know

the truck is out of warranty. I bought a Transmission from the dealership. The

transmission comes with a 3 yr 72,000 mile warranty. It is the warranty on the

transmission Courtesy Ford will not honor. I would like Ford Motor Company to

honor the warranty that I

bought from them.

(Note I told them I knew my truck wasn't under warranty)

Dear Cristy,

Our records indicate that you contacted the Ford Customer Relationship Center on

have reviewed your situation and unfortunately, there are no warranties, FSA/CSP

on your vehicle that would provide assistance for this repair.

Please stay in contact with your S/M for further information on your repair.

At this time, we are unable to provide you with an alternate response. If any

additional information regarding this matter should become available in the

Dear Leonila,

Please read the following message (I copied from the previous sent

message(s) and pasted to this message)...

Brief Description Of How You Would Like Ford Motor Company To

Assist You: I know

the truck is out of warranty. I bought a Transmission from the dealership. The

transmission comes with a 3 yr 72,000 mile warranty. It is the warranty on the

transmission Courtesy Ford will not honor.

When I contacted the Ford Customer Relationship Center on September 18,

2007, I told your Customer Care Representative I knew the vehicle was not under

warranty. My vehicle is 10 yrs old, I KNOW it is not under warranty. That never

was the problem, concern or question. My question, concern, and now problem is

that I bought a Remanufactered Transmission from a FORD Dealership that came

with a 3yr/72,000 mile warranty. I bought the transmission in March of 2007. I

do not know the excact miles I have put on it ( the vehicle is not driven

daily). I do know it is under 72,000 miles. So wouldn't the transmission still

be under warranty?

Sincerely,

Cristy

Has this been settled? I am looking for a newer used car and was going to check out their site but now I don't want anything to do with this company.
