Maytag

Maytag used to be a reputable company. We bought a 12 year hot-water heater and it lasted 3 years max. The gas valve was so dangerous it could have exploded and it needed to be shut off. We bought it a Lowes. Lowes doesn't carry them anymore. I wonder why? We called Maytag and they said they would send us a check for 300.00. It cost be that to install it and now that a new one has to be put in it's goring to cost that to install the new one plus the expense of taking the other one out. #00.00? You have to be joking. They don't use the Maytag repairman in commercials anymore. I wonder why? He's too busy trying to fix all the defective appliances they keep putting out. He has no time to make commercials. Listen to their message on the Maytag line. How many recalls they have on all their products. Never ever by a Maytag again.
