Travel Supreme 38DS04 Tom Raper RV (Dealer) 2250 Williamsburg Pike Richmond, IN 47374 US http://www.tomraper.com/contact.asp Vehicle: 2005 Travel Supreme Envoy Model 38D504 Class A Motor Home VIN# 4TKMH38H051219 with Spartan Chassis VIN# 4VZBN1M905C048546. This RV had to be continually returned to the dealer for serious problems and repairs making it dangerous to drive and useless for travel and living in. Just a short list of serious DOCUMENTED problems include: Front (drivers area) and main heat failures, all, air would flow but very cold, and often. This was either "not duplicated" and by dealer, so not fixed, or just refuted. We know however as all in the family remember being nicely frozen by this where heat would work and then quit. Also all/any heat would not build up sometimes, then it would (out of at least 3 units), but same wiring, etc. Also slider room seals would fail letting in freezing air at times. Driveline: Dangerously defective driveline due to errant/mistaken reversed shaft installation. This caused driveline bolts to strike frame or metal underneath as well as severe engine and transmission vibration when driving. Not to mention risk of potential driveline break and drop out when driving, or how vibration must have been causing undue wear to tranny and all driveline components. Not counting damage due to striking bolts from driveline to/in chassis, as well as extreme discomfort during driving at less than normal highway speeds. Unit also had numerous other serious assembly defects. All Headlight assemblies were installed wrong and broken from factory causing headlights to fail to light any road surfaces ahead of RV at any safe / useful distance, and were not adjustable. All had to be replaced. Interior light fixtures would just fall down to floor over and over again. Backup/Rear view camera system never worked correctly, would go on and off/blue screens. Critical windshield washers were clogged at delivery with sprayer tube joints filled with dried sealant (again from assembly) preventing windshields from being washed thereby obstructing visibility to driver in any dirty rain, etc. Dealer did not fix without my hands-on help on-site to repair with them. BRAKES: These were under Spartan recall. Critical air pressure for front brakes was failing on and off on highway or in turns with air pressure shutting down and errors affecting braking function and safety, setting off warnings. Exhaust fumes would enter rear of vehicle (bad seals? bad exhaust?). The RV emitted burning rubber aromas any time used for more than a few minutes, from a wrongly fitted factory mudflap. Plumbing leaks: Several pipes just drained water shortly after delivery, whenever turned on from internal tank or outside source/hose. Who knows what else is wrong, there was obviously no effective quality control on this unit. Full reports include about 14 pages of attempted repairs on what was a "BRAND NEW" RV when sold (in warranty) with much more data regarding significant and serious vehicle safety problems, you may contact me for more details. One and only door would not latch, and door step would not retract when in travel at times leaving it out to strike anything in the way when on the road! This was a terrible lack of quality for a new vehicle showing no effective inspection or quality control by the manufacturer or dealer. Worse yet the dealer has refused all numerous personal requests to take the poorly made vehicle (lemon?) back and even legal demands to the same (UCC authorized revocation of acceptance notices were finally filed as well).
