Another person has subscribed to gmail with an identical email id as mine with only a dot in the middle

like my id is chandrushekhar AT gmail.com

another person has chandru.shekhar AT gmail.com

That person has subscribed to innumerable number of porno sites and other sites offering sex etc. As per google policy gmail does not recognise dots in email IDs as a result of which I keep on receiving those mails. Number of complaints to gmail has gone waste with no action being taken.

Request help regarding same.
