at home rewards fraud

Ready-Strip "safer paint & varnish remover" Omaha, Ne 68114 US www.athome-rewards.com I purchased via credit card a $10 furniture stripper featured on a commercial and spent at least 10 minutes on the phone refusing to join the "At Home Rewards" program (this was never mentioned in the commercial)while just trying to purchase the product. I was issued a "Cancellation Number"---even tho I refused to join anything---and lo and behold, have been paying $21.95/mo. ever since for the $10 purchase. Why I didn't notice it sooner is because I suffered a life-threatening car accident and my husband took over all the bills during that time---1 year and 10 months ago! I have just now begun to get reoriented to our personal finances and discovered this monthly charge, coming to the realization that we have now paid $482.90 for a $10 paint stripper, plus interest. I am furious! It is evident that this company has many strikes against it. Why are they still in business????
