Macy's Mastercard

Macy's Mastercard To Whom It May Concern: I am very upset with the MasterCard (without the Macy's brand on it) automatically mailed to me without my approval (or request) from = CitiBank. I called the customer support number (866-510-2761) on the evening of = October 4, 2007 and talked with Joanna who basically had no information for me = but that the card was upgraded from a Macy's card. She said that a = notification was sent out to me, which I did not receive. I then requested that she immediately close my account because I did not want to be associated = with an organization would (from what it appears) break a Federal law of sending = out a credit card that was not requested. I then requested that I talk to = her supervisor to express my concern and bitterness with the situation. I = was forwarded to a supervisor named Amanda who was basically as "yes", "I understand" and "I am sorry" person. She did not once try to explain the situation at all or at least ask any questions. It is really sad on how company management has completely gone down hill on the lack of caring. = I then requested to speak to another supervisor because of the fact I was getting even more enraged by Amanda's lack of concern towards my issue. = A woman named Diana gets on the line and says that I needed to call = customer support again and go through proper procedure and hung up the phone on = me. Wow, I was outraged to say the least on the lack of professionalism I = have seen from your supervisors. I would recommend re-training for your supervisors and a product knowledge class for Joanna. I decided to call = back and make my headache even worse. I got a very nice lady on the phone = named Kendra. Kendra was very knowledgeable about the situation and properly explained it to me even though I still do not agree legally with what CitiBank has done. I feel as if I were put at risk by CitiBank to be a possible target for fraudulent activity and also I believed that my = privacy was breeched somewhere along the way.
