Complaint about Cadillac CTS-2005

Complaint about Cadillac CTS-2005 To GM Customer Complaint Department, Subject: complaint about Cadillac CTS I purchased my Cadillac CTS in August 2006 and since then I have been having technical problems that never ended. At first and 2 weeks after I bought it I noticed loud noise coming out of the differential. I took the car to the dealer and took them on a ride and made them hear the noise. Surprisingly they were not able to identify the source. They suspected the noise was coming out of the bearings but apparently it was not. I had to see them every time I took the car for service and they only managed to get it solved this week. In June 6th my father was driving the car, when he reached a T-junction. He stopped and the car engine stopped and refused to start. He tried to crank it several times but all trials to get the car started failed. He then called AAA, who responded immediately and transported the car to the dealer's workshop. At workshop the technicians and the workshop supervisor were not able to identify the fault and said that it was the first time they experienced such fault. A new engine was then ordered from US and installed and the car was released in September 3rd. During the period I and my father were given a replacement car of less courtesy 'CHEVROLET AVEO'. My car spent 3 months in the garage and I felt I was paying installments for free!! About 3 weeks later I took my car for 1000km service and for repair of the differential (refer 1st paragraph). The car was repaired and when they released it the engine would not start! An electrician and a mechanic were called and after investigation they somehow managed to get the car starting. This was in October 2nd. On the next day I was taking my family for shopping, I parked the car and later on when I tried to start it, again and for the third time it refused to start! It was around 11:00 before midnight. The indication showed that the battery was OK (battery was replaced along with the engine) and sufficient fuel was there. I called AAA again and they came and transported my car to the workshop on the next day (Thursday morning). I went to the workshop and I discussed the issue with Mr. Rajeev Dua, Senior Service Advisor and he told me that the problem could have been due to theft lock. I do not understand how this could be activated due to no reason. I suspected the same engine problem is reoccurring. I called the general manager of GM at Chevrolet head office in Oman and he asked me to discuss it with the service manager but I did not, as I believed he would not be able to answer my queries and respond to my demands. In summary, I bought my Cadillac trusting that it is one of the best brands and never thought that I would face all these troubles. Frankly I never felt the luxury of the car and I wonder how GM Accredited Centre of Excellence can make it up and help a customer exceed expectation and regain confidence in Cadillac. I know that all history reports of vehicles are being forwarded to GM in regular basis and I realize that Cadillac itself does not want to get involved directly with customers but I truly hope they can do something about this. Sometimes I ask, after my car gets repaired what happens if it failed again? And if it did keep failing will I be able to afford the repairs after the warranty period is over?! Your assistance in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
