Mervyns Credit Card

According to Mervyns records, there was a charge for $84.31 on Dec 11th 2006. I never received any statement. Their records had a different mailing address, phone number and even a social security number, at the time of purchase. After going through various departments, I decided to pay the amount as a collection agency - GE Money Bank, was harassing me. Now I receive a statement for $163.73, according to the statement those are interest charges.

How can they charge me interest when I did not receive any statement??

It has been going on for almost 11 months. I have been spending so much time on phone calls, that end without any result. I have written letters and have received no replies.

Is there anyone at Mervyns customer service who can handle this and put an end to this situation.

I have similar experience just like you this past October.

I made some small purchase from Mervyn's (like around $77.xx dollars). The bill was charged on my Mervyn's card because they'll give me more discount. (big mistake!) The bill was never received becuz it was said to have sent to my address 6 years ago.

Now I have already contacted their customer support 3 times to clear things off. I still haven't received the bill after the address was rectified!! In the mean time, the bill surged to $135.xx dollars(late fees etc.) I called to rectify those as well.
