Subaru Outback - Reliability Fact or Fiction?
|
Subaru Outback Jenkins, KY 41537 US I bought an '02 Subaru Outback. For 2 years everything that could go wrong with a vehicle DID. All scheduled maintenance was performed, car was well cared for, but it had to have replaced catalytic converter, had cracked head, the window fell down inside the door...constant problems. It was so bad the dealer gave us a very good rebate if we would trade it in for a new '04 Outback and start over. Thinking they were supposed to be rated good and we had to've just gotten a "fluke" we agreed. However, this vehicle experienced the same problems. Catalytic converter had to be replaced within about 2 years, the "check engine light" has been on more than it is off and the heads have already been shaved because of faulty parts. I have since heard of other people who have had disastrous problems from their Outbacks also. I want to make people aware. If you have money to waste, fine. But if, like our family, you buy a vehicle because you think you're getting one that you can count on for high mileage like a Subaru is supposed to be, DON'T GET AN OUTBACK! I've had two pieces of junk in a row that I'll never get paid for at this rate. I did not see that this was a business complaint when it was posted. If the admin. can move it, please do so. Since this was a consumer complaint website, I assumed it was all for consumers. Obviously, I am the consumer. From: Message Author (click here to email author) (has asked not to receive email)Date: Monday, 29-Oct-07 21:21:37 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
