Old Maps

The tomtom one i just bought in October 2007 has maps that were over 3 years old. It should come with maps that are no more than 1 year old. and the cost to upgrade is $60 plus. I paid $200 for the unit and it is great. Just need to have the right maps. A rip off.

I am having the same problem. I purchased my TomTom just before Christmas 2007. It did not work properly., When I called Support in January 2008, I was told that the maps are old. I tried several times to get someone to upgrade the maps. I finally got a hold of one of their reps who informed that I only had 30 days to update maps and since I did not request that within the time period, I was out of luck and would have to pay 7- euros. I took the unit back to the merchant who replaced it with another one on 2/14/08 - also with obsolete maps. I immediately called their support and was told that they could do nothing, but if I were to send my sales receipt, they would "look at it." This is a brand new unit.
