Maytag Dishwasher $533 worked for 6 mos and they will not replace it!

I see a lot of complaints against Maytag Dishwasher for the SAME problems I am having and all of us were told the same thing: They won't replace the dishwasher that doesn't work but they will extent the warranty? A warranty doesn't make my dishwasher work so it useless. With so many people experiencing the same thing something should be done. I paid $465 for the dishwasher so, it is not a cheap model.

Purchased brand new Maytag Model#BDB6601AWW in Nov. 2005 and it stopped cleaning the dishes in May 2006. I have had six service visits and it still doesn\'t work. The only thing they offered me is an extended warranty which is useless because they can\'t fix it and won\'t replace it. From their six visits and through 11 e-mails to/from Maytag the following has been done: Changed motor twice!. Was told that I shouldn\'t use jet dry with shine shield dishwasher and to rinse all the dishes in vinegar to now get them clean (changed detergents and still didn\'t work). Next they replaced seven parts incl. washer arms, docking station, and misc. parts and it still didn\'t work. Then...they concluded that my dishwasher was too far from my sink and the water isn\'t heating up to the proper temp. (I have take the water temperate and it is over the required 120 degrees...also, the dishwasher has a heating feature on it to bring the water up to proper temp. if it isn\'t where it needs

to be. In addition, according to the manual, if it doesn\'t heat up to proper temp then when the dishes are done the \"sanitized\" light will NOT come on and it is on. Of course, if it isn\'t on then how come the \"Hi temp wash feature isn\'t bringing the water to the required temp?) They could not explain any of the above questions. After that I was told I was using too much soap. Then told a 2nd time I am using too much soap even after using the amount they suggested (3 tsp..that\'s it!) Then I was told I had hard water (funny, I have a $3,600 water softner for the house and when I use the home testing kit to test my water EVERYTHING is fine!). After they told me I had hard water I was instructed to use MORE detergent and rinse aid (ha-ha-ha-ha). At this point they extended my warrant...BIG DEAL...IT STILL DOESN\'T WORK. Then I was told to run one cup of White Vinegar through me dishwasher with it empty and then wash the dishes. This didn\'t work either. I received the

following e-mail when I requested a new dishwasher, \"We apologize for the inconvenience of the situation. The manufacturers warranty provides for repair or replacement of any part which is defective due to workmanship or materials. The warranty provisions do not allow for replacement of the entire product. Great! So, now I have a dishwasher I have to throw to the curb and buy another one?

Damage Resulting

Paid $465 for the dishwaser PLUS. Six missed days of work to wait for repairman ($2,884+ in earnings...I make a min. of $125K/yr) Plus the aggravation..that has to be worth something.
