I bought a jacket (19.99), a luggage, a shirt for my son, and pairs of socks last 10/23/07 @ Marshalls. Then 10/26/07, I went back to Marshalls to return the jacket because it did not fit me right. I pulled the tag off thinking that I will be able to wear it that day, but I wore something else bec. the jacket does not fit well. When I returned the merchandise, I gave the sales lady my receipt, the tag (detached), and the jacket. She told me they need to do a price check bec. the jacket (brand) and the tag (with brand name) does not matched. She called her manager & supervisor (i guess, that's who they are, they did not introduce themselves) and they were telling me initially that they cannot give me refund bec. they don't have that brand (jacket), and as I was arguing with them explaining that there was no other jacket that I bought from them except that one 3 days ago and if the tag was not compatible with it that's not my fault. (How will I know that. I only look at the price, I don't check if tag matched the brand name.), another lady then saying that the right price for that jacket (which they say they don't have) is only 16.99. We are all in front of many costumers arguing about this issue. I feel humilated making me looked like I just pulled one of my old jacket and went to Marshall's to get a refund. I was so embarrassed. They did not show me the same jacket that I bought with the correct tag on it. They were just claiming that the price is lower than what I paid for 3 days ago. First of all, if what their saying is true, it means 3 days ago I paid 19.99, when I'm supposed to be paying just 16.99. I was fooled then at the beggining. Second, I went home feeling terrible after being humilated in front of many costumer, I checked the other mechandise that I bought the same day with the jacket, the LUGGAGE (Delsey) has a tag that says SIZE , there's no brand name on that tag but it cost me 56.99.I am so glad that I did not detached the tag yet because now I have proof that they are not putting the right tag on the merchandise. Hence, Marshalls has the reason to argue with costumer that the items does not matched the tag price (if you happen to remove it) because they don't, to begin with. I am also wondering now, Is that the correct price for the luggage? I looked at my son's shirt same tag, no brand name the tag only says boy SIZE. I will not removed these tags yet until this issue is resolved. I am disappointed on how the sales ladies handled my issue. 2 sales ladies kept telling me that I brought the wrong jacket in front everybody. What a terrible experience.
