Sony after sales service exists to loot its customers and make more money

Sony India Mumbai, IN Sony service has given me an estimate of Rs.5400 for a problem that existed since I purchased the system and is occuring for the 3rd time. How am I responsible for any manufacturing defects? I would advise not to purchase a Sony system just because they dont care for their customers. There are a lot of other companies like Yamaha, Philips, Bose who manufacture good systems too.
