Comment On ThisWhile I sympathise with your experience with DSM Media, I would be very interested to find out which area of Aldershot you live in if you deem Grosvenor road to be a "poor and downmarket area of Aldershot". The houses in this conservation area are currently on the market for upwards of quarter of a million pounds. So not quite so poor and downmarket then! While making your point against DSM Media, you have managed to offend a whole section of the Aldershot community, not to mention compounding the prejudice that exists against this area. I moved here from Alton 8 years ago and have never looked back. I find the easy access to London, the North Downs and Tweseldown absolutely invaluable. I am also constantly reminded what a great neighbourhood this is to live in. Whenever I step out of my door to get a newspaper and pint of milk I am greeted by at least two of my neighbours and am on first name terms with many of the business owners along Grosvenor Road. As you rightly point out, the Thai Jasmine serves superb food, which reviewers would rave about were it being served in Farnham, Fleet or London. Sadly, pernicious comments like yours continue to drag down the general perception of this area and businesses with it. What on earth has the proximity to a stip joint got to do with the quality of the food served in an adjacent restaurant? I take it you have never eaten a meal anywhere near London's Soho then!
