Best Buy Store in Sugar Land, Texas

Hello,

I'd like to post a complaint about the Best Buy Store in Sugar Land, Texas and their customer service/ Geek Squad department.

My <1yr old ^$Magnovox 20"TV went to dk blue screen & no sound, remote(new batteries)wouldn't change channels & all channels were darkened. After I unplugged it for a half hr or so, it came back on for awhile, then went off again. That evening, it never came on again. When I called the store, they told me I had to bring it in to the Geek Squad and they would be able to fix it. That was very misleading. The Geek Squad plugged it in, it came on,as it had done at home, so they said it was probably my antenna connection. Ha! I asked them to keep it on awhile so they could see it happen. They said it had to be shipped out to be worked on. I asked where & how long? They said to Dallas, and it would be at least 2 weeks. What?!?!?! That's crazy! I paid $60 for 4 yr extended warranty, never dreaming a nice TV wouldn't last even a year or that with big city of Houston wouldn't have people who could work on it here. That's MY last transaction with "WORST BUY". I've had

several other similar occasions with them before, but I've really learned this time. And I'm beginning to think they carry inferior products. And the GEEK Squad is a bunch of kids, not sure what they're there for other than to try to make people feel like fools. Customer service is long gone..........Carolyn

they actually have a plan called the premium in which they give you a loaner tv while yours is fixed. how can anyone fix something with that much technology in such a small screen at a store, which is run by the bottom of the barrel usually. What do you expect from anywhere else? They really havent done anything wrong, the only people you've been screwed by is "Cheapo" and "Igonrance". Maybe you will get better customer service at WALMART or CIRCUT CITY. Haa
