Peoplepc is billing me for service I do not have and they refuse to stop the account & to stop billing me. The customer service person was rude and said, that I would have to fax another number the information to get the account closed. She stated, because it was fraud she could not stop the account. Does it make sense that they would let me keep being billed and keep the account active if it was fraud? NO! I ask to speak with a supervisor, after 18 minutes of holding the same rep. came back and said, there was no supervisor available. When I told her I would report them to the Better Business Bureau, she hung up on me. I then called back and was told that the dept. I needed to speak with had closed and I would have to call back tomorrow. I have wasted 45 minutes and still am being billed for service I do not have and have NOT used. I have had highspeed wireless cable through Suddenlink Cable for years and even told the Peoplepc rep. I could send the statements to prove it.

I just went through the same crap with them. My daughter tried to install PeoplePC back in Sept. 2010. It will not work where she lives. They told her it would work if she put in another separate phone line. She told them she would not do that, and for them to cancel the service since it didn't work. They didn't. She called them in Nov. and they finally cancelled it, but put the charges for Sept. Oct. and Nov. on my credit card. They refuse to refund the charges, so I am turning it in to the Federal Corporation Commission. If everyone would do this, maybe we could get better response.

Peoplepc.com is is the worst Internet Provider. My credit card had expired and was called to pay the bill. I gave the guy my new credit card to pay it off. I told him to disconnect the service and he tried to talk me into keeping it. I told him no. I want it discontinued. I was later sent a bill from a collection agency. I called and spoke to Jay or James about this bill and explained I should not have to pay it because I had asked to discontinue the service and he replied that People PC could not contact me because my telephone number had changed. I asked him how did the first person reach me at my present phone number and ask for a new credit card. I told him to let me speak to a supervisor and kept me on hold for 20 minutes. He finally told me a supervisor would call me around 7 p.m. I was never called. I called and spoke to a Joy who was of no help either and to be transferred to a supervisor named Sarah and explained the same thing. She told me she needed a confirmation number. I told her the first guy never gave me one. If People PC thought I wanted to continue the service why was I not billed on the new credit card? Because I had told them ot cancel it. It was not my fault that they did not cancel the service when I asked them to do it. I even have the statement of my new credit card showing I had paid off the balance on November 2, 2009. I never heard from People PC until 3 months later when I got a letter from the collection agency.

I too am having problems with peoplepc billing me for a service that I no longer have. 4 months ago we bundled with another company and I called peoplepc and cancelled the service. They have been stealing money from my checking account for the past 4 months. And to add to that, my original monthly bill was $18.00 and some change. I am now being billed $7.98 monthly for what? I called customer service and told them whats been going on, and the Representitive asked if I had proof that I cancelled the account even after asking proof of address, and the password I had used when I had the account. After getting doubletalk and going around and around, I finally told this person that i was calling my bank and having stop payment initiated and the response I recieved was "That is your option". The bank obliged me and if that doesnt work, they told me to just get another account number and be done with it. Ok this is good, but I still have to pay $29.00 for the stop payment and I'm still out the money they have stolen from my account. This is ridiculous, is'nt there anything that can be done to stop this company from ripping people off?

I cancelled my service with peoplepc in November of 2007 and yet they still in return charge me. I have had to put a block on my home phone service billing and STILL received a bill in the mail. I have called time after time and it still continues. I guess the only way to have someone listen is to speak to the supervisors. OH YEAH, I DID THAT TOOOOO!!!!! On 4 different occassions! Yet they still bill me for services i do not have. I guess they must be desperate for money since their service is so bad that they continue to bill customers 6 months after the canccellation request. Maybe they would be smarter to have cancellation requests either sent in to them in a written form or by email. At least with email you can keep a copy for confirmation records but then again thy would be to stupid to read them since they can't hear either. I must say I have never had such a difficult time cancelling a service that has not been used. Peoplepc should not be in business.
