I received from All Over The States Movers in California an online quote fr=

om advanced moving to relocate my belongings from CA to CO. After providingthe requested of my original list I was given a quote of $1,200.00 and gav=

e them a $565 deposit from our credit card through phone conversation.

They were picking up on 11-02-01. The Truck Driver Gabriel made me sign a =

contract-which is a violation of a county ordinance and stated clearly on t=

heir own contract!! Because he said if you do no signed I will took all thestuff from my truck and leave, and I signed with a new charges of $3,242.0=

0.

He charges me 5% for fuel, which this information was not provided from the=

ir representative on the phone Dana Shaw, the total was $147.00.

Also he charges me packing and wrap my stuff $142.00, which I did the wrap,pack, cover my stuff, the only thing the wrapped was the TV and the large =

sofa. They use my plastic wrap, they used my cutting knife, and my possessi=

ons were ready to go, so there are no details of the charges.

I refused to signed the new estimated and then they were ready to take all =

the stuff from the truck, Gabriel show me another type of contract under th=

e company=92s name =93First Choice Moving & Storage=94 I asked what companywas and he said to me do not worry =93all over the states Movers=94 they j=

ust are a brokers and we are the company do the moving business I did not u=

nderstand his statement and this information was not provided to me in my f=

irst contact with Dana Shaw.

The next day I called Dana Shaw and she was agreed with me that I was overc=

harge, I was honest to her and let her know that I added to my original lis=

t two small dressers and 7 more medium boxes, she promises me to back to meis soon is possible with a correction on my charges. After two days of "noone is in the office to help you" I finally got Dana and she refused to ta=

lk to me and transfer me with the dispatchers, the lady which I forgot her =

name she said there is nothing she can do because I signed the new estimate=

d and the papers are legally with my signature. It turns out that they unde=

restimated the amount of space my things would use on their truck and so th=

ey were unable to help me. The cubits charge space in the truck never was e=

xplained to me.

The dispatchers also said the initially I have 35 items in my list, and I a=

dded two more dressers, 7 medium boxes which a total of 44 items, but she c=

laimed that I had 70 + items, which is not true. The truck driver was putti=

ng stickers to my bicycle and the wheels make two items. My computer desk Idissemble in five parts and Gabriel put one stickers to each part of the c=

omputers desk, which was not one item for them was five items, my TV standswas dissemble in four parts so Gabriel added four more items instead writi=

ng only one, my dresser instead be one piece was four pieces, they count th=

e draws.

The dispatcher=92s words were "it's not fair for us to lose money". I didn'=

t understand why I had to pay for their inability to do their jobs correctl=

y! They were over 200% off on the price and the needed space! The truck dri=

ver Gabriel was not communicate very well he has a broken English and he re=

ally confused me with his arguments saying the office made a mistake not hi=

m, because he represent somebody else. The dispatcher was so rude and told =

me that since we did not have a binding estimate, he could charge me whatev=

er I wanted.

Gabriel asked to pay $1400 at that point of pick up my stuff or the price w=

ould be going up again! I pay him $1000, because November 2, 2007 was my la=

st day in my apartment, I was ready to leave California the same day to Col=

orado, I DID HAVE NO CHOICE BUT SIGN THE CONTRACT AND FOLLOW THE DRIVERS AD=

VICE TO CALL THE OFFICE AND THEY WE DEAL WITH MY NEW BILL.

DANA SHAW who was my initial contact she denied speaks to me, and she has n=

othing to do with the new bill. I am still own this company the total of $1=

,677.00, the have my stuff in storage and I am afraid not to collect the re=

main of the money because I am not working yet in Colorado.

We feel violated and robbed and do not want this to happen to someone else.We trusted them with all of our personal possessions and then were forced =

to pay an absurd fee to regain them. We were put in an uncompromising posit=

ion. This is apparently a practice that All Over the States Moving along wi=

th the company First Choice Moving and Storage is used to. This company andits employees were very unprofessional (the dispatchers), nasty (truck dri=

ver Gabriel) and liars (Dana Shaw). They bullied us when we were in a vulne=

rable position.
