HP Pavilion tx 1000 Tablet PC My name is Joanna Rivera. THe following is my complaint for the HP Pavilion tx 1000 tablet pc. THank you. Have any of you bought the *HP Pavilion tx 1000 Tablet PC*? Well, I have and I not only bought one but four. I chose HP over all the other brands because of it's great customer service and great product reviews. To my surprise, out of the 4 laptops, I have had problems with three. I'm truly disappointed with it, and not only with the product itself but the poor customer service from both the reps and the case managers. I have tried endlessly to contact the case managers to see what they can do regarding my laptop. In a period of 5 months, my laptop has had problems with the webcam, the touchscreen, it turns off randomly and now it barely lets me sign in (after entering my password when Windows starts). I mean, let's be real. My laptop is a TABLET PC. I bought it for a reason, I will be using the tablet pc (hence the touchscreen) for my classes and for school and out of nowhere, the touchscreen doesn't work. Then before that, the webcam isn't 'recognized'. At first I thought it was related to MSN Messenger but after unistalling it several times and trying to work it with Quickplay, I got the same error. As of now, I still haven't been able to use my webcam. My laptop also randomly turns off (even though it is either plugged in or with a full battery) and the latest problem, it doesn't let me log on to my account. The error says 'error activating'. I understand that there is warranty regulations when it comes time to return the laptop. According to several case managers, the laptop cannot be returned even if it constantly has problems. They said that there is 'nothing they can do about it.' Well let me tell you something, w*hat's the point of a warranty then?????* I would expect them to at least lend a helping hand in trying to do something so the customer is satisfied but I'm still waiting for the 'great customer service'. I am tired of calling and calling in order to return my laptop. To be honest with you, even if they were able to fix my laptop, the last thing I would want is to keep the HP Pavilion tx 1000 Tablet PC throughout the rest of my college career. I don't want to risk losing my projects or essays or homework becaue the laptop keeps messing up. I need my money back, I can't take this anymore. I do not recommend this laptop, or in fact any HP product, especially because of it's poor customer service. I've had a very unpleasant experience, and again, do not recommend this laptop to anyone. Mine which cost $1000 limped along for 26 months before it was rendered unrepairable. HP support was useless and I am looking for recourse from HP. This is outrageous !! Some one actually posted pics on web that showed that HP used inferior solder which melts when the laptop overheats and ruins the workings. Have wireless and fingerprint issues. Found out that this caused because of NVIDIA GPU.Will try to fix it tomorrow. Don't buy HP products. You will never ever hear any of those problems with any other brands. Only HP has those problems. Might just purchase a replacement board when i can find one and sell my doorstop.
