Computers Dell US I purchased 2 dell computers over the phone. I received both computers with no problem but once received, 1 computer did not work at all. I called Dell and after spending half the night with technical support, I was told they would send a box for me to send the defective computer back for repairs. I sent the computer back and it was supposedly repaired and shipped back to me. The "repaired" computer still did not work. We spent another 20 hours on the phone and were told we could get a replacement computer with an upgrade added to it by Oscar in customer service. He assured us that he would personally take care of our case and see it through until we were satisfied. We had not received the computer in the time it was promised and when I called and inquired about it, I was told it was still in production and the upgrade I was promised was a "lie". I asked to speak with a manager and asked that the replacement be cancelled. THE MANAGER TOLD ME THEY CAN SEND A TICKET TO “SPEED UP” THE PRODUCTION OF THE LAPTOP AND ONCE IT WAS SHIPPED TO ME, I COULD CALL BACK AND REQUEST IT BE CANCELLED. WHEN I ASKED WHY HE COULDNT SEND A TICKET FOR IT TO BE CANCELLED SINCE IT HADNT BEEN SHIPPED, HE WAS SILENT AND KEPT REPEATING THE SAME SENTENCE AS IF HE WAS READING FROM A SCRIPT. I ASKED FOR AN ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, OR FAX NUMBER TO DELL. HE REFUSED TO GIVE ME ANY INFORMATION ON WHERE I COULD MAIL A COMPLAINT. This computer was bought for business purposes. It was purchased in advance for business events that I had to cancel. I have lost tons of money and time and have been so stressed out that I have lost sleep AND customers for my business. I have a broken computer that I spent a lot of money for and all I get it a scripted answer from Dell service and management that I cant even understand. So much time has passed and no resolution has been made. I got my Dell from SCH butttttt the cd rom was not hooked up' Thank HeAVENS FOR my Careprovider whom lives in my apartment. 2 wires were NOT HOOKED. I believe that I will never buy another from from. Also I was just getting to order A LAPTOP from them. With of course a $410.00 voucher off of it. Plus I wanted to make 1 payment. They have US based support located in Texas, I think. Those folks are usually great about getting things taken care of.
