Well, listen to this scam. Comcast just recently bought out Time Warner Cable in Houston. I just got my latest bill yesterday; my normal $54 a month all of a sudden turned into, "$204 A MONTH". So I call these people and they explain to me that supposedly last month they sent a notice in my last statement that rates were going up. Of course I never got it and even if I had gotten it, who says I would of even noticed such a notice. I explained this to the customer support lady and she said I should of read it; so that began a debate. So I asked the chick if you pay your mortgage for years, the same amount every month do you actually read the junk that might be attached to the statemenmt, if the dollar amount hasn't changed. And she said yes. At this point it was obvious to me that the call screeners had been coached and I wanted to talk to a manager. Well, I waited for 30 minutes, no manager. So , I left my number and asked them to call me and suggested that this could very easily turn into a class action lawsuit if they persue this type of business practice. Over the next 2 hours I called 8 friends with cable, and all had there bill quadrupled just like me. This is affecting alot of people in Houston. It's the worst kind of way to do business. Let's show this company who's boss. half of my friends say they went back to their bill and didn't even get a notice just like me. The other half say they don't even know. The bottom line is it is not the responsibility of the customer to constantly monitor our service providers especially when the only attempt to contact a customer of such a rate increase is through a statement . No phone calls, email, follow up letters or one month's grace to allow people to see and reflect of such a ridiculous hike.


OK COMCAST PROVE I GOT SUCH A NOTICE, BECAUSE I DIDN'T. ALSO PAL WHEN ONE COMPANY BUYS OUT ANOTHER THE NEW COMPANY NORMALLY HAS TO HONOR ONE'S DEBTS TO THE CONCLUSION OF THE CONTRACT. WELL WE ARE YOUR ULTIMATE DEBTS, THE CUSTOMER.


If anyone out there reads this please let's start a movement to either boycott Comcast untill they change there ways or start legal precedings, this seems to be a very easy one to win.

I have had Comcast Services at my Home for the last 4 yrs since they took over from Time Warner. I can say they had alot of issues back a few years ago when they did the merger and Customer Service was a joke then.

Comcast has made huge Strides to change this and has very good customer service now. Alot of the old complaints i had have been addressed and they have fixed them.
