CANNOT GET CREDIT FOR DOUBLE CHARGE
|
DELTA AIRLINES US www.delta.com I flew from ATL to FT Laud on 10/23/07. I was told at the curb that my baggage was 3 lbs. over the 50 lb limit and I would charged 50.00, which I paid with my credit card. I was viewing my credit card statement online and saw another charge for Delta on 10/24 and under another passengers name. I have no knowledge of the name or the charge. The problem is this. After speaking to 10 agents, they all have a reason why they can't issue a credit. In fact one agent Lillian I spoke to on Friday assured me a 50.00 credit was processed and should see it in 2-3 days. However, that did not happen. When I called back I was told that there was no record of any issued credit. This has been a tedious, miserable and unnecessary experience. I will never fly Delta again and will tell everyone I know not to either. Dispute it with your credit card company as either an unauthorized charge or a duplicate charge (whichever applies). They charge it back to Delta. Delta then holds the responsibility to prove the charge.
