Awful shopping experience- Toys R Us

I sent the following complaint via e-mail to Toys R Us corporate and received a total brush off and was referred back to the customer service group who botched the handling in the first place. I discovered subsequently that Toys R Us even had the audacity to charge $10 more for the Barbie I ordered than the actual Barbie web-site. What a horrible shopping experience all around!

I am very frustrated. I responded to an offer for a free barbie make-up glamor set with qualifying purchase of $50 or more in Select Barbie dolls. I did everything properly, added the qualifying items and then added the 'free' item and went all the way through check out and I was to be charged $29.99 for the 'free' item. I executed my order(#9022140624) without it and used Paypal to pay. I called your 'customer service' folks immediately to report the problem. I was told i would have to cancel my order and pay the additional amount for the 'free' item and spend another hour re-placing the same order. I paid instantly via Paypal and could get no assurance that I wouldn't be double charged if I cancelled and resent my order. Nor could I get assurance that the $30 woud be rebated by

customer service if i resent my order. All in all, I am feeling totally gypped. I feel customer service should have been able to send my earned free item. I had many other problems with the site. I am very disappointed

with my whole experience.
