Prestige Painting & Home Improvement (Mr. Tony Jonghani CSL#761003) 96 San Jose Avenue San Jose, Ca 95125 US www.ppahi.com I hired Tony Jonghani (self described owner of Prestige Painting and Home Improvemnet) to remodel my kitchen in June of 2007. The remodel had numerous troubles from the start. From problems with cabinets, wrong granite, window installation problems, rude employees. As job was nearing completion Tony Jonghani and I had a difference of opinion on the tile floor installation job. It was not properly layed initially and it cracked so severely in over 75% of the floor. He verbally assaulted and berated me over the phone , would not finish the job that I paid for in it's entirety. Tony Jonghani threatened physical violence against my husband,which led to a San Jose Police Assault Case reoprt.The owner is actually Tony Jonghani's father who is out of the country (so I was told). Tony Jonghani walked off the job leaving hazardous conditions in my kitchen such as sharp-exposed tiles, holes in the floor,and tile materials. I have two small childern who lived in these conditions for weeks.Prestige did not finish painting, base-boards, and extra areas of concern in the kitchen. This company had no concern for returnig and completing a job that was fully paid for. We have since hired an attorney and are pursuing legal action against them.I want other consumers to be aware of Prestige's business practices. Please file this complaint to notify others so they will not experience the nightmare kithen remodel I faced and continue to deal with. Thank you for your time in reading this. EVERY BUSINESS WILL RUN INTO SOME CLIENTS WHO ARE MORE DIFFICULT THAN OTHERS AND MAY RUN INTO SOME PROBLEMS WITH PROJECTS BUT NEVER ANY PROBLEMS THAT CANNOT BE FIXED WITH GOOD COMMUNICATION AND COMPRIMISES BETWEEN THE COMPANY AND CLIENTS. STACY AND CHRIS PRIMENTAL WERE VERY PLEASANT CLIENTS AT THE BEGIN OF THE PROJECT AND WE NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES AS STACY LISTED IN THE COMPLAINT. WE STARTED WITH THE KITCHEN REMODELING AND IF SHE WAS UNHAPPY WITH OUR WORK AND THE MANNER OF OUR CREW, OUR QUESTIONS WOULD BE WHY DID SHE AND HER HUSBAND KEPT ADDING EXTRA WORK THAT WAS DONE AT HER HOME. THROUGH THE PROJECT, STACY AND CHRIS HAD COMPLIMENTED ON THE PERFORMANCE OF OUR WORK, WE DON'T UNDERSTAND THE FAULS STATMENT SHE IS POSTING AS TO THE PROGRESS OF THE WORK PERFORMED, SUPPOSE SHE FELT IT WOULD MAKE THE COMPLAINT MORE SYMPATHATIC TOWARDS HER. FINALLY WHEN PROJECT WAS COMPLETED WE RECEIVED THE FINAL PAYMENT, IF WE DID NOT COMPLETE THE ITMES AS LISTED IN THE COMPLAINT WHY DID THEY ISSUE THE PAYMENT TO US. WE DO NOT BILL OUR CLIENTS IF THE WORK IS NOT COMPLETE AND IT WOULD BE COMMON SENSE NOT TO MAKE THE FINAL PAYMENT IF THE JOBS NOT COMPLETE. OUR WORK IS WARRANTIED FOR 1 YEAHR PARTS AND LABOR. OUR OFFICE RECEIVED A CALL FROM CHRIS, THE HUSBAND ON 10/18/2007 REQUESTING FOR TONY TO CALL HIM BACK OR SCHEDULE FOR OUR GUYS TO RETURN TO REPAIR SOME CRACKED TILES IN THE KITCHEN AREA, WITH THAT PHONE CALL, A COMMENT WAS MADE TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE " DO YO THINK TONY WOULD JUST GIVE ME MONEY BACK FOR MY FLOORING?". OUR CREW WERE SCHEDULE TO DO THE REPAIRS ON 10/25/2007 AND WAS AGREED WITH TONY (OUR CONTRACTOR) WITH CHRIS (HUSBAND). SHORTLY AFTER, WE RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM STACY REQUESTING TO SPEAK WITH TONY BECAUSE SHE WASN'T CLEAR WITH WHAT HER HUSBAND HAD TOLD HER ABOUT THE SCHEDULING. WITH STACYS REQUEST, IT WAS RESCHEDULED TO 10/31/07 TO REPAIR THE TILES. ON 10/31/07, OUR CREW WERE REPAIRING THE TILES THAT WAS CRACKED AND REPLACE THEM WITH NEW TILES, WHILE THE TILE WAS WET, MEANING THE FLESCH MORTAR WAS PLACED WITH THE NEW TILE, SHE WALKED ON THEM WHEN SHE NEW THEY WERE FLESH, (WHEN TILE IS FLESHLY LAID WITH MORTAR TO MAKE THE TILE STICK TO THE FLOOR, IT NEEDS 24 HRS TO SET AND SHOULD NOT BE DISTURBED TILL THEN). SHE MADE COMMENTS TO OUR CREW AND INSULTED THEM IN REGARDS TO THEIR PERFORMANCE AND OUR COMPANY. ONE OF THE CREW COULD NOT TAKE THE INSULTS FROM STACY AND REQUESTED TO LEAVE THE PROPERTY TO TONY AND TONY AUTHORIZED THEM TO LEAVE. THERE IS A SAYING, " TREAT OTHERS THE WAY YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED", SHE INSULTED AND BAD MOUTHED OUR CREW AND OUR COMPANY, THAT IS WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO TONY BECAUSE STACY AND CHRIS PIMENTAL HAS A WRITTEN CONTRACT WITH TONY AND NOT OUR CREW. ALL COMPLAINTS AND COMMENTS SHOULD HAVE BEEN MADE TO TONY DIRECTLY, NOT THE COMPANYS CREW MEMBER, WHICH SHOWS LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM OF STACY AND CHRIS PIMENTAL. 11/01/07, STACY CALLED OUR OFFICE AND ASKED WHY NO ONE RETURNED TO HER PROPERTY TO FINISH THE REPAIRS. TONY RETURNED STACYS CALL AND TONY EXPLAINED WHY HE HAD THE CREW LEAVE THE SITE INCOMPLETED AND SHE CLAIMS SHE NEVER TALKED WITH OUR CREW OR MADE COMMENTS. STACY ALSO MADE A COMMENT TO TONY " DON'T TALK TO ME LIKE YOUR IRANIAN WOMEN THAT YOU CAN SAY THINGS TO ME". TONY TOLD STACY TO HAVE CHRIS, HER HUSBAND CALL HIM BECAUSE SHE WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO CARRY A CONVERSATION WITHOUT MAKEING RACIAL COMMENTS. TONY TALKED WITH CHRIS FURTHER ABOUT THE REPAIR AND TONY TRY TO ARRANGE FOR THE REPAIR TO COMPLETE AS LONG AS NO ONE IS PRESENT IN THE KITCHEN AREA OR THAT STACY BE ABSENT AT THE TIME OF THE REPAIR AND CHRIS REFUSED THE PROPOSAL, STARTED BAD MOUTHING AND OFCOURSE IN DEFENSE TONYS TONE OF VOICE RAISED. IN RESPONSE TO THE THREATS MADE BY TONY, IS COMPLETELY FAULSE AND CHRIS, THE HUSBAND IS THE ONE ACTUALLY MADE A COMMENT TO TONY "IF YOU HATE US SO MUCH, WHY DON'T YOU GO BACK TO YOUR COUNTRY", WITH THAT COMMENT HE ALSO TOLD TONY THAT HE KNEW WHERE TONY LIVED AND WHAT TONYS CHILDREN LOOKS LIKE, TONY TOOK THAT AS THREAT. TONYS COMMENT WAS TO CHRIS TO TAKE IT TO COURT. THE FLOORING PART OF THE JOB WAS $1250.00. IN CONCLUSION, WE TRY TO DO WHAT WE CAN TO WARRANTY THE WORK, WE HAVE THE WARRANTY FOR 1 YEAR, THEY REFUSED IT AND JUST WANTED MONEY BACK. THIS SITUATION COULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN CARE OF IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER BUT UNFORTUNETLY THEY DIDN'T WANT TO CARRY THEMSELVES IN SUCH MANNER, VERY RACIAL AND CONFUSED AS THEY SEEM. EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OWN OPINIONS, EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN STORY. STACYS COMPLAINT IS MORE THAN WHAT REALLY HAPPEND AND OUR DEFENSE COMMENT IS A FACT. THEY SHOULD ALSO BE AWARE THAT THE PHONE CONVERSATION CHRIS HAD WITH TONY MAKING THE COMMENTS AND THREATS TO TONY WAS RECORDED AND ALSO HAS A WITNESS OF THE CONVERSATION.
