Ubid - AC Adapter

I purchaed an AC adapter from Ubid.com in May 2007. What I thought I was getting was a NEW adapter that would work for my laptop. When I received it, my laptop was in the shop, so I waited until I got the laptop back before I could try it. So about 2 weeks later I got the laptop and plugged the adapter into it. About 15 minutes later I checked on it and touched the charger. The charger was so hot, I couldn't hold it in my hand if I tried. I looked at my receipt and it said New HP AC adapter.

I contacted Ubid and told them about the problem and there response was "you got what you ordered and if there is an issue with it, then take the matter up with HP". I contacted HP and explained to them my problem in which they told me that the adapter was refurbished and not new.

Ubid takes peoples money and thinks that no one will figure out that they are selling crap for a high dollar amount and then tells you its not there problem. I will never purchase anything from Ubid no matter what it is. After contacting HP, they did take care of my problem and got me what I needed before a big problem became a large problem.
