My husband and I purchased four wheelers and received cards from GE Money Bank. I made a payment over the phone on 9/26/07, and as of today, 11/28/07, it still has not posted. The money was removed 10/1/07. I have been told multiple different stories by the customer service. I was told by one rep that they didn't have a fax number for me to fax a copy of the cleared check, so I express mailed it. I have sent a copy of the check to them numerous times and am constantly told that I didn't send anything. I have the fax confirmations, and the tracking number from the Express Mail package, proving that they were delivered. What happens after that is beyond me. One customer service rep told me they had received the copy of the check, but the system hadn't updated yet and that's why my balance was incorrect. Another girl told me that they don't do checks by phone and the bank that cashed it wasn't theres so I may have to get my money back from my bank. I made a complaint to the BBB, and the girl responding to it even stated I used their "Pay-by-Phone service", and I just hadn't sent a copy of the check and once I did they would be happy to post the payment. I have been told it takes 30 days for a payment to post, 7-10 days, and 48 hours. If you don't run into any problems their service is fine, but if you need help from the customer service for anything run in the other direction.

11/29: They said they received a copy of the cleared check, but now it needs to be researched to find out where the money was deposited before they will post my payment. What happenes to my money after they remove it from my account is not my fault and I should not be held responsible for that. They told me they received my mailed copy of the cleared check yesterday (it was delivered to them on 10/11/07). I asked to speak with his boss because all I was told was provide proof and my payment was going to be posted and he told me I could write a complaint he was the highest that I could speak to. I asked to speak with the person he reports to and he told me I had to write to the address he provided. I informed him I'd done receivables before so I know what the procedure is when a cleared check is provided and he informed me I didn't know what I was talking about because they're a large company.
