Damaged Rim
|
Les Schwab 830 W Imola Ave Napa, CA 94559 US www.lesschwab.com I went to Les Schwab to get my front tires changed on my 2005 BMW 325i. My rims were in perfect condition and had never had their tires changed. So after bringing my car in with 2 tires I bought online, I had them replaced. After I got home and washed the right rim, it looked perfect. Then I started to wash the left rim and saw that my rims were chipped and saw small scratches all the way around. I called Les Schwab and told them about it and they said to bring it in. When I got there I showed them the damages and compared it to the right side. They guy I talked to on the phone, who's name is "Larry" went to get the guy who worked on my car. The guy who worked on my car, "Mark" said something about where the old weights were and said that the chip was already there. I agreed to that damaged because I know wheel weights will leave some kind of damage. But around the rim there were other chips. Larry came back out and was all blaming the other chips as the old wheel weight but it was totally in a different spot from where Mark was pointing out. And plus the chips were about a total of 4 inches. I haven't seen an wheel weight that is 4 inches long. So this Larry guy was all trying to blame the chips on the old wheel weights but it was totally in a different spot. So right there I knew he was trying to find a way out. Larry brought me into the back and showed me that the machines they use are "touchless." I know this is BS because I know some tires are hard compounds, like low profile ones and you have to pry it so the machine can get in between the rim and the tire. I asked at least for my money back and he said something like "we did a service for you and you want your money back?!" and I said "YEA! You damaged my wheel!." I also asked who else was in charge and he said he was. I tried to keep my cool but that didn't go anywhere. I just left because I was too angry. I am never going back there again. I thought they had good service since I had a good experience before with Les Schwab a couple years back at a different location.
