British Gas - regarding electricity supply

British Gas - regarding electricity supply

I'm at my wits' end trying to resolve a dispute with British Gas regarding

electricity supply.

The property concerned is a small cottage that my wife & I use on average

between 6 and 10 days per month.

Yet my electricity bills average over &#16370 per month (nearly &#1631,000 p.a.)

I've checked with my neighbours, who are in full-time permanent occupation

of their respective properties (these being similar to mine) & their bills

average &#16370 per quarter.

I therefore think that my bills should be between &#16330 and &#16350 per quarter

( say &#163200 p.a.). British Gas' reaction has been to threaten disconnection,

charge additional admin fees etc.

Attempts at "meter accuracy tests" have stalled because they have failed to

show up on 3 different appointments. As it is only a holiday home ,each time

I've had to travel to the property & wait in all day for them.

As the attached correspondence shows - they refuse to apply common sense.

Can you please assist in resolving the issue.

Many thanks
