ESPN GAME PLAN OFFERRED ON DIRECTV

When you subscribe to this plan and your ESPN channels are activated, you

now see each upcoming game, which all looks swell. The problem: blackouts . You

find that despite the games being listed, the vast majority are blacked out

in the entire region. The catch: no cancellation is possible.

I began the service less than 1 hour before any of the games, I was told

that even so there was no cancellation for the entire season, despite me being

unable to watch the LISTED GAME. I was stuck with a $ 129.00 charge. Today, I

just paid my DirecTV bill, which included the final installment for the ESPN

Game Plan, so I went to DirecTV to be sure the service was removed from my

subscription (they also have automatic renewal) . DirecTV found they could not

even remove it until Dec. 1, which marked the end of the season.

ESPN knows far in advance what games will be blacked out, and they are

withholding this information from the consumer. A very clever scheme.
