Excessive NSF Fees

Checking Account SunTrust Bank 1321 Asheville Highway Hendersonville, NC 28739 US www.suntrust.com I had a checking account with CCB then the bank was purchased by SunTrust. That is when I started having problems. After noticing excessive amounts of overdraft/NFS fees. I contact them about this and they said I did not have enough funds in the account. Even though the post all of the items at the same time. They pay the highest ones first. What this means is if you have a lot of small transactions and one large transaction. They will pay the large transaction and charge NSF fees on all the small ones. They get more money this way. It was never this way with CCB. When I contacted them about this they said they would immediately deduct $100 from the fees. I told them to forget this. (Stupid on my part.) Because I thought they should take care of all of them. Them have been very difficult to deal with. As this was happening, I opened an account with another bank and have never had any problems whatsoever. By the way, the date of this problem is an estimate. We all know that most banks are shady, so why don't you keep just $100 or even $50 on your account at all times? If you stop floating the numbers, you will not have to pay a dime in banking fees. I have two accounts with Suntrust, had a total of over 6 accounts with Bank of America and have two accounts with Key Bank. NEVER did I experience a problem related to the fees because I leave some money in my account as a buffer. And please don't say that you live paycheck to paycheck so you can't afford to keep money sitting in your account. That's the stupidest excuse ever, but people use it all the time. I make only $26,000/yr and have NEVER overdrawn an account or incurred in non-sufficient funds or any other fees. Start planning in advance and be more responsible with your finances and you'll see that you will never have to pay banking fees.
