Target - Target can't get release dates right

So today i tried to purchase Super Mario Galaxy on it's release date, November 12th, but ran into some stupid people. I asked a employee if they had received the game yet and they in fact did have it in the back. I was then informed that they would not sell it until the 14th. When i asked why she replied that that was the release date.
I knew that was false and attempted to correct her mistake and receive a copy. She then showed me a Target product catalog that show the release date as the 14th. I knew this was wrong and told her so and backed it up with the release date posted on 1up.com, Gamespot.com, and IGN.com. I couldn't show her Nintendo's site because of the iphone having problems with Flash. I told her to look it up herself on Nintendo's website. Instead she said that a old product catalog was right and her manager thought so to.
I think that major retailers need to learn to get these dates right and also be able to employ people who can recognize when they are wrong. Instead they sell items three days early or two days late.
below are links to the sites i mentioned above as well as Nintendo's posted release date.
I find it funny that target didn't consider the products developer and producer a creditable source.

So why not go to one of those other places to get your precious game...if they have proof in writing the release date is the 14th and they showed it to you no amount of your petty silliness will change that! Do us all a favour grow up!
