Bad food - Worse service

Dinner - two different pasta dishes Ciao Baby Greenstone Shopping Centre Ciao Baby Greenstone Shopping Centre Edenvale Johannesburg, Ga 1610 ZA On Sunday night my husband and I went to dinner at Ciao Baby Greenstone shopping centre. I have a severe garlic allergy and had told the waiter to be sure that there was no garlic on my food. When I received my food I felt that there was something wrong, and that there must be garlic on the food but was assured by the kitchen that there was definitely no garlic on the food. I was unable to eat the meal and asked to have it put into a takeaway container which I brought home. My husband ate less than half his meal - a different pasta dish to mine. He said that he felt there was something wrong with the food. When we got home our two sons arrived - they are university students. They tucked into the pasta - but did not eat much as they said there was something funny about it. The nett result has been that we have all been very unwell all of last night. When I approached the daytime branch manager, called Isaac, he said he could do nothing about it - I had kept the left overs in case they wanted to check out the problem - but they were not interested. I then phoned the head office and actually got through to the manager of the EASTGATE BRANCH, WARREN by name - who could not have been more sympathetic or concerned. He took my details and said he would get the manager of GREENSTONE to contact me. He did - and said that he did not believe one can get sick from a pasta dish. I was absolutely shocked at his total disinterest and lack of concern. The meal for the two of us cost R280.00 - we will certainly not go there again and will tell anyone we can think of that until management gets some sort of training its a place to avoid. The Eastgate Branch on the other hand is GREAT!!! From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Monday, 12-Nov-07 11:15:30 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
