Bisson Moving Company Bisson moving Co in Maine, Helloo i moved from Maine to Hawaii about 2 years ago,I took out = insurance on some of my stuff that I was moving . Only realyy worrying = about the stuff that may be broken, crystal, China, dinnerware, etc, not = worrying about things that could be stolen out of the Bisson storage = container. wher emy stuff was waiting to be shipped. well while my = things were in the possesion of Bisson storage, Bobby cooper, and the = cooper family, my $6000.00 dollar bikes were stolen from there trailer. = These were traithlon bikes. I had insured $25,0000.00 were off stuff but = because my bikes were not listed neither the insurance or bisson would = cover. This is negilegence of security on Bisson's part. I tried several = times to deal with this with the insurance and the family themselves , = only to be ignored and told in so many words, you will have to eat it. = Mind you moving is not cheap as you all know, but the bisson moving co = will not even settle with a lawyer which i brought in as a last try. so = I am out of luck , but I have decided to let people know. Don't do = business with this co. they are in Southern Maine. Hope you have better = luck moving. With better co. I wish this could have ended better, but = some company are just in it for the money not the reputation. These items were stolen when thieves broke into a locked steel container in our locked, lit, fenced yard at night. It was all captured on security cameras, but the suspects were never caught by police. On international moves, customers purchase their own insurance for goods...not from the moving company. Movers often collect the premium on behalf of the insurance company. This can cause confusion as to who is responsible for compensation if there is loss/damage. Here's what she left out. She failed to mention that SHE was the one who did not "list" these as "high value" items as required by the insurance company. This had nothing to do with Bisson. Her insurance application plainly indicated that any "high value" item (representing 4% or greater of the total shipment value) MUST be itemized. Lacking this "listing", any claimed item in covered up to a maximum of $150. She did receive $300 for both stolen bikes in accordance with the application she signed and submitted.
