airtel! hi...
i have been using an AIRTEL POSTPAID mobile number (9810701204) since the last 3 years now..and if this is the level of service, long time customers get, then i all i can do is pray for the new ones.. oh well, or is it the other way round.. of only servicing the new, rather the "to-be-new-ones"..!!!!
i have been trying,since the last one week, to pay my bill online..which i have been been unable to do.. the error message reads -- your transaction could not be completed.
i called the customer care, and they informed me of some problem with the server and that, it will be rectified 'soon' !!
but, 'not very surprisingly', the server DOESNOT get alright... and, on top of that, airtel people have withdrawn all services to or from my phone! not even incoming calls can get through..!!!!!!
i tried umpteen number of times, to pay the bill.. but to no avail..! the, i called the customer care once again yesterday, i.e. 7th morning.. for around 15 minutes, the girl at the end, kept trying to convince me that there is some problem from my end...! when i tried to tell her that i am not able to pay the bill, instead of listening to the reason, she started off (in a monotonous tone, of course!) a discourse on what to type in the address bar.. and then which tab to click when i reach the site.. et all..!!! after much persuation, did she ilsten to me, and th 'oh-so-very-helpful' suggestion she gave me was that, perhaps, my credit card is NOT FUNCTIONAL!! (is this THE AIRTEL SERVICE!!!!!) the third was that perhaps, i am not able to log on properly..! then after much persuation.. which means a talk of about 20 minutes, and putting me on hold twice, did she agree that there indeed IS some fault from their side.. and that perhaps the site's not working fine. now, the only solution was to either wait for it to get alrite.. or to go myself, and pay the bill at the nearest outlet!
well, all this said and done, i tried to reason, saying that i have to go to work, and now how is it that you can help me. to which, not very surprisingly again, she kept mum!!
well.. finally, she said that there would be some1 to collect the bill at my home.. and that some1 would give me a call back at my alternate number.. but, as i had to go out, i said that it'll not be possible for me to pay the amount if someone comes over.. still, my problem, of the inactive phone, not solved.. i asked to speak to the supervisor.. and was rebuffed that that 'she' would also tell me the same things as herself..!!!! but, when i insisted, she said that she'll transfer the call....which, 'incidently' got disconnected.. and i am still waiting for that " CALL BACK".....!!!!!
And, on top of that, the description field cannot be more than 150 characters long on the airtel website's complaint section..so well.. seems, ll haveto be a writer too, to be penning the distress caused in 150 words..!
hence, i can only say.. that the whole 'airtel' thing... is just a SHAM! regards,
