HSBC Bank India / Credit Card Service Location: HSBC Bank India Problem: I am a customer of HSBC Bank credit cards since 3 years and a resident of Noida. I was using internet banking and registered for e-statements. About an year ago they introduced some security system in their internet banking under which they sent some security devices to their customers, which I never received after numerous requests to their customer care department. I could not see my statement for about 6 months. Then I received a call from HSBC Mumbai office to pay the outstanding amount, I asked for statement, so they refused to give me as they said I opted for e-statements. When I said I am not able to access their internet account because of not having their security device, they said they will send me the statement and in the meanwhile I should just pay the minimum amount. I paid the minimum amount and after a months time I again received a call from Mumbai asking to pay the bill. I again asked them to send me the statement and again they said to pay the minimum amount while they send me the statement. I refused to pay the minimum and insisted them to send me the complete statement. This went on and on and on, I kept receiving calls and never received a statement. It took them 6 months more to send me the statement and finally I paid the complete amount excluding the late fee charges and interest as it wasn’t my fault. Now I still have around 1300/- to pay (interest + late fee charges). When I called customer care department to discontinue the card by explaining them the reason, they said they will get back to me and its been more than 2 months they never got back. I don’t know how do I convey them to discontinue the card and stop them adding on charges on my account. I just do not want to pay for what they have done wrong. Myself Ravinder Malik am using HSBC credit card no -4476 9299 8665 9955.I have no due on myself of any purchasing on this card. I didn’t use this card for 6 months because I never feel to use it. After 6 months bank blocked card and started charging on it because I didn’t use it for 6 months. When bank charged me first time no 1 intimate me no one called me from bank side that urn card is blocked and charge will continue. I think its bank responsibility to call customer if something is going wrong .Now after 1 year when charge reached around 5000 Rs. I am getting calls from recovery people and they abusing .I am very mentally disturbed because of harassment now with bank behaviour.i never expected that HSBC bank will plat this kind of role with customers.
I am not able to pay this much amount without any reason. Please look into it. Looking for a positive response from bank side.
