Complaint about after sales service of ONIDA TV Dear Sir / Madam, I bought a ONIDA KY Thunder 29" TV on 19th April 2007 from SB Agencies, Super Market Gulbarga Karnataka. The TV was priced at Rs. 18000 (Cash Price). However, to my utter disappointment, I noticed that some portion of the picture (NOT the whole screen) is tilted towards the ground. I tried with tilt option but it is NOT rectified. All channel logos and TV menu are NOT perfect horizontal which actually defaces full picture quality of the screen. I tried to contact the dealer and same day service engineer came to my house. He told me that tilt is due to earth magnet. He asked me to change the TV position. This is NOT possible as the power and cable wires are within wall and position of the TV was decided at the time construction of the house. Also my OLD TV was fine in the same position. The engineer tried to rectify the problem by some service settings. But it did NOT work. He promised me that he will rectify the same next day and asked me to sign the job card. Believing his words, I signed the job card. Later I came to know that HE CHEATED ME. >From 21th April, I am trying to get it rectified. BUT NOTHING HAPPENED TILL NOW. I really felt sorry for having purchased this Onida T.V. which gives me lot of mental agony and my neighbors rebuking me for having gone for Onida T.V. I am planning to escalate this to Consumer Grievances Redressal forum.
