We have a total of 10,000.00 of furniture we purchased from American Furniture.. WE had a bad apple on the bar stools we picked for our new home. The wood it is made of is ply wood and the bottom are real heavy and By a fall on a carpet it poped the top off?? WE paid 150.00 per stool as a matter of fact we dont even have them paid off yet. I contacted them they sent me a kid that took picutures and told us customer service would help us.. After talking to one and put though another which she said she was director of service blow my mond because all i got was a sarcasite piece of work with a high pitch voice whom name was Leveng , She was the most unconcern person i have ever had to talk to in all my life.. What happen to standing behind your product and making sure the customer was and is highly satified!! She basically told me i was SOL and she did not have time for me... This person should not me in a postion like this... I will keep sending my problem to as many people as i can until i get solved.. He has no right to sell a cheap piece of wood and not stand by his product i dont know whats worse the girl Leveng or the stool they both rate about the same wood... I made a purchase from American furniture when the sofa arrived one of the back cushions was 3 inches to short. I contacted customer service and was told that the company buys the least expensive items that they can and that everything is mass produced. American brought another one out and the same probelm occured on the exact cushion. We were given the oppertunity to select another set. When the recliners were unloaded the headrest had a spring in backwards It would not stay down it just stuck straight up. They exchange that one out, now we have another issue. The padding on the seat on both reliners that have been purchased in bunching up in the middle at least 2 inches Keep in mind the second set of funriture was delivered 6/3/09 in not even 2 months time we have had them to out house 7 times. This means that we have had to take time off of work and so on. When I asked for a $55.00 Credit on different chairs they refused. I reccommend not doing business with them at all. We were also set a repairman with a camera and was told we would have to wait until 4 pm for a call. The really bad thing about doing business with them is I will not even get my money back for 7-10 day and I paid in good faith prior to delivery From: Message Author (click here to email author) Date: Sunday, 28-Jun-09 08:10:51 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This Comment On ThisI know this has nothing to do with this complaint but I worked for AFW for a little over a year and I was injured on the job and they fired me a week before I was released from the Dr. so now I have no money coming in and I am waiting for some kind of settlement from my attorney and Jake Jabs attorney, I have lost my apartment, and everything else I owned at the time. His attorneys are trying to say my injury 10 years ago is the main problem but this injury is a new one so they are trying to make my life worse than it already is. While I was on light duty I was treated with disrespect from 3 of the current managers, i'm on all kinds of medications currently and cant find a job due to my restrictions of cant lift more than 20 pounds, cant stand longer for an hour nor sit for that matter. I had no problems before the injury with my back but now I can bearly get out of bed walk and do things that i enjoyed before I was injured. So now I cant pay my child support because of all this and its growing interest every month I cant pay. So I wont tell any of my friends or any one else to shop there nor work there because you will get treated like crap.
